Children will be taught yoga regularly at Anganwadi centres in the state. On Monday, Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya inaugurated the yoga training camp at the Multipurpose Hall of Parade Ground. More than 150 Anganwadi workers from Dehradun district participated in the camp. Yoga programmes are to be held at all Anganwadi centres on the occasion of International Yoga Day on 21 June. In the camp, Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya performed yoga asanas with Anganwadi workers for about 40 minutes. On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya said that if the youth of the state and the country want to stay healthy, then they will have to join yoga. She said that parents should inspire their children towards yoga from childhood so that they will have to visit the doctor less in the future.
Yoga training is being given to Anganwadi workers
Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya said that in future, yoga asanas suitable for children and pregnant women will be regularly taught at all Anganwadi centers in the state, for this all Anganwadi workers are being given yoga training. Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya said that yoga is necessary for both mother and child, it will also help in removing delivery related problems. Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya said that the way Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spread awareness about yoga in the whole world, the whole world is adopting Indian culture and yoga tradition today.
