In view of the torrential rains in many parts of the country and the crisis caused by it, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has spoken to the Chief Ministers of the disaster-affected states and inquired about the situation. He has assured all possible help from the central government regarding relief and rescue operations. Due to heavy rains across the country and the crisis caused by it, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday spoke to the Chief Ministers of Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh over the phone.

Assured all possible help

During this, he reviewed the ongoing relief work to deal with floods and landslides and assured all possible help. Shah said in a tweet, “In view of heavy rains in different parts of the country, I have spoken to the affected states. NDRF teams have been deployed in the needy areas and more forces will also be sent as per requirement. Every necessary support will be provided by the central government.”
