Officers will soon be promoted in various departments. However, everyone will have to wait a little for this. The State Election Commission has clarified its stand on this amid the Panchayat Election Code of Conduct. The selection year in the departments is July 31. It is necessary for officers and employees to be promoted and transferred by this date. Since the Panchayat election process will continue till July 31, the code of conduct will remain in force.
Instructions to complete the promotion process
It is not possible to do promotion and transfer in the code of conduct. Therefore, the departments had sent a letter to the State Election Commission requesting to clarify the situation. Commission Secretary Rahul Kumar Goyal said that there are definitely many such promotions, in which transfers also take place. Therefore, it has been made clear to all the departments that they should complete the promotion process. After DPC or whatever other process it is, promotion orders can also be issued. Transfers will not be done only during the code of conduct. It is believed that the departments will transfer the promoted officers after the code of conduct.
Applications for three permissions cancelled
There are many departments which are seeking permission from the State Election Commission to start their tender process. The commission has also made it clear that permission is being given if necessary in disaster-like situations. Permission is not being given for work that can be done even after the elections. On an average, three permissions are being given daily and applications for three permissions are being cancelled.
