Once again, horses and mules have started to show their charm on the Kedarnath footpath. On the third day, more than a thousand horses and mules left for Kedarnath Dham as a trial, while more than a thousand palanquins and dandi-kandis also took the pilgrims to Kedarnath Dham. After the horses and mules engaged in the Kedarnath Yatra were infected with influenza, a ban was imposed, after which the movement of horses and mules was started as a trial from last Friday. On the first day, 46 horses and mules went, while on the second day 311 horses and mules were sent as a trial, and on the third day more than a thousand horses and mules took the pilgrims from Gaurikund to Kedarnath Dham.

Health of horses and mules is now improving

Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Ashish Rawat said that due to the equine influenza virus, the health of horses and mules operating on the Shri Kedarnath Dham Yatra route has now started improving. After trial and health checkup, about 1000 healthy horses and mules were sent on the Yatra route on Sunday. However, horse and mule owners have been instructed that if any symptom of disease is seen, they should immediately bring the horses to the doctor for examination. On the other hand, the dandi-kandi operators are also doing their work diligently.

On the other hand, Additional Chief Officer District Panchayat Rudraprayag Sanjay Kumar said that every day 1000 to 1200 devotees are reaching the Dham by dandi-kandi, while about 1000 dandi-kandi and pitthu operators are engaged in the supply of food and other materials. In this difficult time, under the supervision of the District Panchayat, the dandi-kandi operators are playing an important role in the Yatra management and everyone says that they will not let any shortage come in the Yatra operation.

Spreading rumors on social media

The priests say that Shri Kedarnath Dham Yatra is going on smoothly and all the arrangements are fine. But some people are misleading people by spreading rumors on social media for cheap popularity. The pilgrimage priests of the Dham have expressed anger over this and have lodged strong protest. They have welcomed the devotees to Baba Kedarnath Dham without paying attention to the rumors being spread about the Dham and the Yatra. Senior pilgrimage priest Umesh Poshti, while sharing his views with the media, said that all the arrangements are in order in Shri Kedarnath Dham, 30 thousand pilgrims can stay here comfortably every day. The temple committee, local traders, pilgrimage priest society and administration and police are ready to ensure the facilities of the devotees. He said that do not pay attention to the rumors spreading on social media. Now the operation of horses and mules has also started again. The special thing is that due to the implementation of token system, the devotees are also getting darshan comfortably.
