Soon, 177 posts will be recruited in the cooperative banks of the state through the Government of India undertaking IBPS. Cooperative Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat has approved this recruitment proposal. He directed the departmental officers to expedite the recruitment process and issue the recruitment advertisement soon.

Recruitment will be done in a transparent manner

Cooperative Minister of the state Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that under the Cooperative Department, recruitment will be done soon on a total of 177 vacant posts of class-1, 2 and 3 of District Cooperative Banks and State Cooperative Banks. Which includes 8 posts of Senior Branch Manager under class-1, 65 posts of Junior Branch Manager in class-2 and 104 posts of Clerk/Cashier under class-3. The departmental minister said that the state government has entrusted the responsibility to the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) to make this recruitment process transparent and effective. He said that recruitment has been done twice in the Cooperative Department in a transparent manner through the central undertaking IBPS. IBPS is the only institution of the Government of India which recruits personnel for nationalized banks. Uttarakhand is the first state in the country which has chosen this institution for the recruitment of personnel of cooperative banks so that recruitment can be done in a transparent manner and eligible youth can get a chance. He instructed the departmental officers to speed up the recruitment process and soon issue its recruitment advertisement through IBPS. He said that the purpose of this recruitment is to fill the vacant posts in cooperative banks and further increase their efficiency.

Performance of cooperative banks is continuously improving

Dr. Rawat said that the performance of cooperative banks in the state is continuously improving, most of the cooperative banks are in a profitable position and the NPA of banks has also reduced considerably. He said that financial transactions in district cooperative and state government banks are increasing rapidly compared to earlier, like private and nationalized banks, banking facilities have been increased in cooperative banks as well, new ATMs have been opened at various places, services are being provided through mobile ATM vans in Chardham Yatra route, tourist places and remote areas. Apart from this, banks are also providing net banking facility to the consumers. Along with this, banks are also focusing on other banking facilities. Due to which the trust of consumers on cooperative banks is increasing. Loans are also being made available to consumers at easy rates in cooperative banks, apart from this, the benefit of various cooperative schemes is also being given to the common people through banks.
