Today, on the occasion of World Environment Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave an emotional message by planting a Sindoor plant at his residence 7, Lok Kalyan Marg. This plant was gifted to him by the brave women of the 1971 Indo-Pak war during his recent visit to Kutch. Impressed by the courage and dedication of these women, the Prime Minister decided to plant this gift at his home. On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that the priority of the government has always been the upliftment of the most vulnerable sections of the society. In a message shared on social media, he said that in the last ten years, the Central Government has made efforts to bring change in the lives of the common people through poverty alleviation, infrastructure development and inclusive policies.
More than 25 crore citizens out of poverty line
He said that campaigns like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana and Ayushman Bharat have given better lifestyle, health services and economic security to the poor. The government has been successful in taking benefits to the last person through digital technologies and transparent delivery systems. The Prime Minister also highlighted that these initiatives have lifted more than 25 crore citizens out of poverty. This is the third term of the NDA government under the leadership of the Prime Minister, whose first year is being completed on 9 June. On this occasion, the Prime Minister has appealed to all the ministers to speed up the work of the ministries and present the achievements of the government before the public.
