Monsoon is active in Uttarakhand, it is seen in some or the other district of the state every day. Somewhere it is raining heavily and somewhere clouds are bursting. Meanwhile, IMD has issued a yellow alert regarding the weather of July 10 in Uttarakhand. IMD has said that there may be heavy rain in many places of Uttarakhand and there is also a possibility of lightning. On July 10, light to moderate rain is likely with thunder and lightning in most places of Dehradun, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Nainital, Champawat and Bageshwar districts of Uttarakhand state and many places in the remaining districts.

Possibility of heavy rain across the state till July 14

On July 11, light to moderate rain is likely with thunder and lightning in many places of Dehradun, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Chamoli, Nainital, Champawat, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar districts and some places in the remaining districts. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain across the state till July 14. On the other hand, in view of the rain alert in Dehradun, the District Magistrate has declared holiday in all schools and Anganwadi centers from class one to 12. Due to the torrential rain till late night, the police has alerted the people living on the banks of Rispana and Bindal rivers at night itself.

More than 80 roads are closed

Due to heavy rains in the state, at least 80 roads are closed, which the administration is trying to open. According to the State Emergency Operation Center, 17 roads are closed in Chamoli, 9 in Bageshwar, 1 in Almora, 3 in Champawat, 5 in Dehradun, 7 in Nainital, 6 in Pauri, 15 in Pithoragarh, 4 in Rudraprayag, 12 including highways in Uttarkashi and 8 in Tehri district.
