This morning, a tragic accident was reported on the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway, in which the truck driver died on the spot. The accident was so severe that the sounds reached the ears of the people nearby. The dumper driver has been admitted to the hospital in an injured condition after the collision between the truck and the dumper. According to the information received from the police, SHO Lakhpat Singh Butola said that on Tuesday morning, an empty dumper going from Devprayag to Srinagar and a truck coming from Srinagar to Rishikesh collided head-on.

The collision was so severe that the front part of the truck was completely damaged and the truck driver was badly trapped in it. The truck driver who lost his life in this horrific accident has been identified as Tajbar Singh son of Shri Govind, resident of Ganesh Nagar, Rudraprayag. At the same time, dumper driver Mahavir Mahar son of Surjan Singh, village Gyanasu, Tehri has been injured, who has been sent to the hospital for immediate treatment. Both the vehicles have been removed from the road and parked aside by the police. Further action is being taken.
