In a major action on Thursday, the district administration in the Kundeshwari area demolished five illegal tombs built on government land by running a bulldozer. This action was taken on the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. He had already made it clear that occupation of government land in the name of religion will no longer be tolerated. Some people had occupied the land of the government Ambag of Kundeshwari by erecting illegal structures under the guise of religious activities. Despite the administration issuing a notice, when no valid documents were submitted by the stipulated time limit, this action was taken under the leadership of SDM Abhay Pratap Singh.
So far 537 illegal tombs have been removed
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dhami, 537 illegal tombs have been removed across the state so far. The government says that faith will be respected, but its misuse will not be accepted at any cost. The action of Kundeshwari has given a message that governance is not limited to papers only, but is also being strictly implemented on the ground.
