Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, during a high-level meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence, directed officials to pay special attention to security arrangements and traffic management in view of the increase in the number of tourists during the New Year celebrations.
The Chief Minister instructed the officials to implement proper traffic management to prevent traffic jams and accidents during the New Year. Additional police force will be deployed at tourist destinations to streamline traffic. To ensure safety, the police force will be increased at public places and major routes at night to prevent any untoward incidents. The Chief Minister has also directed strict action against those violating traffic rules, such as driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding. He emphasized the maximum use of technological measures to monitor incidents under traffic and security management.
