Congress Vice President Suryakant Dhasmana says that this is happening because in the rush to earn money, helicopter companies are flouting the rules and playing with the lives of passengers.
Congress alleges scam in helicopter service operation
Suryakant Dhasmana says that it seems in the state that there is no air traffic control manual for air services. He said that the companies are flying whenever they feel like it or whenever they are getting passengers, just like Tempo and Vikram. Maybe the state aviation department knows how many helicopters are operating from all the helipads of the state including Dehradun every day and how many flights are they flying from what time to what time every day. But this helicopter service is a big scam in itself and it has government protection.
Congress warned of agitation
Dhasmana said that while on one hand the lives of passengers are being put at risk due to this, on the other hand, wildlife is also being endangered due to this indiscriminate flying competition. Along with this, the glaciers of Badrinath, Kedarnath and Yamunotri-Gangotri are also being adversely affected. He said that if the state government does not immediately control this strictly, then the Congress will be forced to agitate on this issue.
