The Char Dham Yatra of Uttarakhand is witnessing a huge faith and enthusiasm of the devotees this year too. The Yatra started on 30 April and so far in just 45 days, about 28 lakh devotees from the country and abroad have visited Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri and Hemkund Sahib.

Tourism department fully active

According to the data, the number of devotees visiting Kedarnath Dham has crossed 10 lakh, while an average of 70 thousand devotees are turning towards the holy shrines every day. Despite the uncertainty and challenges of the weather, the faith of the devotees has not wavered. The Tourism Department is fully active in conducting the Yatra and is keeping the system strong.

Tremendous increase in registration

Along with online, offline registration has also increased tremendously. Thousands of devotees are registering daily in cities like Haridwar, Rishikesh, Herbertpur and Vikasnagar. Up to 28 thousand registrations have been recorded in a day at many centers. Char Dham Yatra registration nodal officer Yogendra Gangwar said that so far more than 42 lakh devotees have registered for the yatra, out of which more than 28 lakh have taken darshan.
