Due to this, the Yatra has been postponed. If the weather remains clear, the Yatra will leave on Friday. The Yatra will also be postponed from Baltal on Thursday. During the Amarnath Yatra, a tragic incident occurred on the Baltal route due to rain on Wednesday evening.
Death of a female devotee
A female devotee died after being hit by a landslide at the Z turn near Railpathri. 55-year-old Sona Bai was a resident of Rajasthan. About nine passengers have been injured in the accident. One is missing, whose search is on. The injured have been admitted to the hospital built in the Baltal base camp. On Wednesday, the devotees were coming and going on the Amarnath Yatra routes as before. Despite the rain, there was enthusiasm among the devotees. Meanwhile, due to heavy rains at the Z turn near Railpathri, big rocks fell from the hill on the Yatra route. Devotees came under its grip. Sona Bai suffered serious injuries, due to which she died. The injured have been provided immediate medical facilities and further investigation is going on.
