Heavy rains have been continuing since morning in the entire state, somewhere heavy rains are not stopping, while somewhere light rains are continuing since morning. The Meteorological Center has issued an orange alert for heavy rains in some parts of Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts including Dehradun. Apart from this, there are chances of heavy rains and strong winds blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers in some parts of these districts.

Possibility of light rains across the state till July 26

Yellow alert has been issued for several rounds of heavy rains in other districts as well. Talking about the coming days, there is a possibility of light rains across the state till July 26. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rains in Pauri district. On which DM Swati S Bhadauria has declared holiday in all schools and Anganwadi centers from class 1 to 12 in the district on Monday.

Instructions to officers to remain in alert mode

The DM has instructed all the concerned departmental officers to remain in alert mode. Due to heavy rains, he has appealed to the people to be cautious in sensitive and disaster prone areas and not to go near rivers and streams.
