The Kanwar fair is going to start from July 11, Devbhoomi is fully prepared for the movement of Shiva devotees. The police administration has finalized the preparations. At the same time, a huge crowd of Shiva devotees is expected to gather in the fair this time. It is estimated that this year more than 4 crore Shiva devotees can travel as compared to last year. To ensure the fair is conducted safely, the focus of the police will be on crowd control and traffic diversion.
Traffic route and diversion plan released
Haridwar Police has also released the traffic route and diversion plan for the fair period, under which traffic will be controlled in different phases of the fair. Haridwar SSP Pramod Singh Dobal said that from 11 to 17 July, there will be no entry of heavy vehicles in the district from 12 midnight to 4 am. Whereas after this, from July 18 till the end of the fair, heavy vehicles will be completely banned in the district.
Arrangement of temporary bus stand has been made
During this time, arrangement of temporary bus stand has also been made for roadways bus passengers. Temporary bus stands will be operated at three places namely Rishikul ground, Motichur parking and Nikaldhara Gaurishankar parking. Preparations have also been made for this by the Transport Corporation.
