District Magistrate Savin Bansal has constituted three quick response teams (QRTs) to deal with the problem of waterlogging in Dehradun city during monsoon. These teams, constituted under the chairmanship of City Magistrate Pratyush Singh, SDM Harigiri and SDM Kumkum Joshi, have been given the responsibility of monitoring and immediate solution of water drainage in various areas of the city. The District Magistrate directed that all the officers should regularly inspect their respective areas, physically verify the cleaning status of drains and ensure immediate action if any obstruction is found in the drainage.

First QRT (headed by City Magistrate Pratyush Singh)

This team will work at major waterlogging sites in the Municipal Corporation area including Prince Chowk, Darshanala Chowk, Saharanpur Chowk, Rajpur Road, Dalanwala, Railway Station, New OPD Doon, Lakhibagh, Chandra Colony, Doon Vihaan.

Second QRT (headed by SDM Harigiri)

This team will take responsibility in Sahastradhara Road, Raipur, IT Park, Bhaniawala, Nehru Colony, Miyawala, Dev Vihar, Bharat Singh Colony and surrounding areas.

Third QRT (headed by SDM Kumkum Joshi)

This team has been entrusted with the responsibility of solving the problem of waterlogging in other areas including GMS Road, Mothrowala, Purana Bypass, ISBT, Balliwala, Santosh Nagar, Premnagar, Banjarawala and THDC Colony.

The District Magistrate gave clear instructions that all the officers should remain fully alert during the monsoon and take immediate action so that the citizens do not face any kind of trouble.
