That dreadful day of 12th June is etched in everyone’s memory in such a way that even if someone wants to forget that day, they cannot forget it. The Air India plane crash on 12th June shook people across the country. The accident was so horrific that about 260 people died in it and DNA profiling had to be used to identify the dead. In this connection, some more body parts found from the accident site have been handed over to six families after DNA testing. This information was given by Dr. Rakesh Joshi, Medical Superintendent of Ahmedabad Civil Hospital on Friday. In this case, Dr. Joshi said that the official number of people who died in the accident is still 260. He said that the body parts that were handed over on Thursday belong to the same dead who have already been identified. Let us tell you that on 27th June, the officials had announced that the body of the last deceased has been handed over to his family. However, at that time itself the hospital administration had made it clear that the accident was like an explosion, due to which many body parts were scattered here and there and there is a possibility of finding some more parts.

Information given to 16 families

Along with this, Dr. Joshi also told that most of the families in the case had already given permission that if any more remains are found, then the hospital itself should cremate them. But 16 families had said that if anything else is found, then they should be informed first. Under this, the hospital informed these 16 families about the remains found recently. Out of these, six families came on Thursday and took the body parts, nine gave permission to the hospital for the last rites, while one family has not taken any decision yet.

The plane met with an accident as soon as it took off
