In view of the possibility of disaster during the monsoon season, the police conducted mock drills in several police station areas. During the exercise, 39 people were rescued. They were also sent to the hospital on time. Rehearsal was done to send five families to the relief center. Mock drill was conducted for effective relief and rescue work along with dealing with the disaster caused by heavy rains. Mock drill was conducted in Kathgodam, Chorgalia and Lalkuan as well as Ramnagar under the supervision of SP City Prakash Chandra.

Mock drill was conducted in Devkhadi Tapovan Colony of Kathgodam, Suryanala of Chorgalia area and railway crossing of Lalkuan, China Bar and Narula Petrol Pump and Chukum and Pampapuri of Ramnagar. During this, 39 people were rescued and 22 injured were sent to the hospital. Rehearsal was done for the rescue of two people buried under the debris in Tapovan Colony. Two injured people trapped in Suryanala of Chorgalia were sent to CHC Chorgalia. Three seriously injured people were sent to Base Hospital Haldwani.

Rehearsal for pulling out a car and a motorcycle trapped in water was also conducted. Five children and three adults trapped in water in Lalkuan were taught to be rescued safely. Five children and a youth were rescued from near the railway crossing. Two injured persons were sent from near Narula petrol pump on the highway through 108 ambulance. SP City Prakash Chandra said that during this time police teams warned people to stay away from rivers and drains through public address system. Police preparations were also tested through mock drill.
