Sports Minister Rekha Arya concluded the 42nd National Taekwondo Championship and 28th National Poomse Taekwondo Championship on Sunday. She honoured the medal winners by presenting them with medals at the Vandana Kataria Stadium in Roshanabad. More than 700 players from 18 states participated in these competitions. On this occasion, Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that after religious tourism, Uttarakhand has now become a pilgrimage for sports tourism as well. She said that in the last three days, she has inaugurated and concluded four national competitions. This makes it clear that Uttarakhand is now becoming a sports land along with Devbhoomi.

Will win medals for the country at the international level

Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that sports also teaches life values ​​like discipline, commitment, honesty and dedication. She said that the players who have won medals in this national competition will also win medals for the country at the international level in future. Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that with the efforts of the Government of India, it is very possible that the 2036 Olympics will be organized in India, players should start preparing for it by setting a target for it from now itself. He said that just like a soldier has been born from every house in Uttarakhand, in the future, a player should be born from every house here.
