These days, the heat is showing its fierce form. Due to the humid heat, the offerings to Ramlala in Ayodhya have also been changed. At this time, along with easily digestible food, seasonal fruits, mangoes and shakes made from it are being offered to the Lord. Almost every day, mango shake is offered to the deity in the Bal Bhog held at four in the afternoon. Right now, mango shake is being made from Dussehri mangoes. Apart from this, sometimes lassi and buttermilk are also offered these days. Madhupark is offered along with lamp, incense and naivedya before the daily five-time aarti of the deity. Madhupark is a mixture of honey, ghee and curd.

Ramlala drinking mango shake

A trustee of the temple said that this is the mango season, that is why sometimes mango shake, sometimes mango Pana and sometimes whole mangoes are offered to the Lord. An official associated with the offering system said that mango shake is offered at this time. Puri-kachori and cooked food is offered only on festivals. In the course of worshipping Ramlala, the daily priests reach the temple at three in the morning. They wake up the Lord amidst chanting of Vedic mantras. After this, with some preparation, Mangala Aarti is performed at four in the Brahmamuhurta by offering mango, apple, banana and other fruits to the Lord.

Ramlala is adorned from four thirty

Before the Aarti, incense, lamp, offering and Madhupark are offered. After this, the adornment of Ramlala begins at around four thirty. In this, after bathing the Lord and making him wear new clothes, peeled fruits and Madhupark are offered and his adornment Aarti is performed at six o’clock. Even before this, incense, lamp and Madhupark are offered. With this, the darshan for the devotees is started. Then at nine in the morning, sometimes Daliya, sometimes Paratha, Aloo ki Tikki, Tehari and sometimes Poha is offered in Bal Bhog.

Know the daily routine of the Lord

At 12 noon, the Lord is offered dal-rice, roti-vegetables and curd, coconut water, lassi, pomegranate juice, guava juice and the midday aarti is performed. After this, the door of the sanctum sanctorum is closed and the deity is put to sleep. At one o’clock, Ramlala is awakened again and Madhupark, lamp incense and naivedya are offered to him and the door is opened for darshan. At four in the evening, mango shake is usually given in the Baal Bhog at this time. Sometimes lassi and buttermilk are offered in this. At seven in the evening, the evening aarti is performed after offering bhog to the Lord. During this, Madhupark and laddu, peda are offered. At nine-thirty in the night, the Lord is offered dal-rice, roti-vegetables, curd etc. and his sleeping aarti is performed.
