e apprised the Prime Minister of the development projects being implemented in the state.

The Chief Minister mentioned that the first phase of the Rishikesh-Karnaprayag rail project is progressing rapidly.The survey for the Tanakpur-Bageshwar rail project has been completed.

He requested approval for this project and that the entire financial burden of the project be borne by the central government.

The Chief Minister also requested the closure of the old Rishikesh railway station and the operation of all trains from the new Yog Nagari railway station in Rishikesh to facilitate the proposed infrastructure development projects in Rishikesh.

He suggested utilizing the land and railway tracks of the old station for new road infrastructure, which would help improve traffic conditions.

The Chief Minister briefed the Prime Minister on the progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission and requested instructions for the early release of the remaining central funds allocated under the mission.He expressed gratitude for selecting Rishikesh as an iconic city for river rafting and requested central-level resources for the Haridwar-Rishikesh Ganga Corridor and Sharda Corridor projects, considering the state’s limited resources.

The Chief Minister informed the Prime Minister about a proposed MOU with the Iceland Embassy for the exploitation of geothermal energy in the state.

Necessary clearances for this MOU have already been obtained from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, and the Ministry of External Affairs. He requested technical and financial support for this project to enable Uttarakhand to play a significant role in achieving the goal of carbon net zero by 2070.

The Chief Minister also urged the Prime Minister to direct the concerned authorities to approve proposals submitted to the Ministry of Road Transport, including the Rishikesh Bypass, Haridwar Bypass (Package 2), Dehradun-Mussoorie Connectivity, Dehradun Ring Road, Champawat Bypass, Lal Kuan, Haldwani and Kathgodam Bypass, and the Manaskhand Project.
