Uttarakhand has started preparing a database of volunteers for the 38th National Games. With the increasing number of large-scale events in the state, the need for a database is being felt. The Sports Department has started taking necessary steps in this regard.
Currently, the registration process for volunteers for the National Games is underway. All those who register will be given certificates. Out of these, 2,000 to 2,500 volunteers will be selected and trained. Later, they will be issued separate certificates for the National Games. Selected volunteers will also be given TA/DA.
After the registration process is complete, the selection process will begin. In fact, Sports Department officials believe that preparing a volunteer database during the National Games will be useful for future events.
Uttarakhand has organized several successful large-scale events in recent days, including the Investor Summit and the G-20 Summit meeting. With the increasing trend of large-scale events, the need for human resources is being felt, and therefore, steps are being taken to prepare a database.
Volunteer registration reaches 30,000
There is immense enthusiasm among people to become volunteers during the National Games. So far, 30,000 people have registered. However, only 2,000 to 2,500 volunteers are required for the National Games. A large number of students and women are also among those who have registered.
Volunteers will play a crucial role in making various arrangements during the National Games. We are trying to prepare a volunteer database during the event. We will provide necessary information to all registered volunteers and explain their roles. Once the database is ready, volunteers will be easily available for future large-scale events.
