In a significant move to boost Ayurveda, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced on Thursday that Uttarakhand has become the first Indian state to enforce the central government’s policies on age-old Ayurveda therapy. Known as Ayush, Ayurveda has been instrumental in curing numerous life-threatening diseases for ages.

Welcoming about 10,000 participants, including Ayush specialists, experts, and researchers from 60 nations, the first World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo 2024 in Dehradun aims to be a valuable exercise in the field of Ayurveda treatment. CM Dhami emphasized that the three-day Congress would involve extensive discussions to develop strategies for promoting Ayush treatments to combat incurable ailments like cancer globally.

Speaking to reporters before the Congress commenced, CM Dhami expressed his gratitude to PM Narendra Modi for his significant contribution to organizing the first Ayush Congress in the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand. He highlighted Uttarakhand’s historical contributions to Ayurveda through its recluses and Sadhus, asserting that the state’s role in this field is undeniable. “I am sure that if the world continues to follow the path of Ayush science, significant achievements can be made globally,” CM Dhami stated.

Top officials, including Ayush experts, are also holding debates and exhibitions on ‘Digital Health and Ayurveda.’ The conclave aims to educate people worldwide about the significance of Ayurveda and its potential as a lasting treatment for numerous conditions. The discussions will continue from Thursday (Dec. 12) to Saturday (Dec. 14). Saturday(Saturday).
