Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday launched a scathing attack on the working style of the Modi government at the Centre, calling it a ‘governance without accountability’. He said that in the last 11 years, the government has only done propaganda, while the ground reality is continuously deteriorating. His reaction came after a tragic rail accident in Thane district of Maharashtra, in which at least four people died after falling from a moving local train, while six others were injured. Rahul Gandhi said in a social media post that while the central government is celebrating its eleven years of tenure, the people of the country are losing their lives in trains like Mumbai local. He described this accident as the result of the chaos and overcrowding prevailing in the Indian Railways.

Modi government is diverting attention by showing dreams

The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha alleged that the railways, which is the lifeline of crores of people, has today become an example of chaos and insecurity. He said, “Modi government is neither talking about the present nor the goals of 2025, but is diverting attention by showing dreams of 2047.” Rahul Gandhi expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the accident and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. He asked that when the country is facing such problems, then who will take responsibility for them?
